Flying with the Tigers

The end of an era

Four years ago, my company hired a father/son team to help with the production of houses. After a year or so my stress level went up dramatically. So did the level of everyone else at the company. They became a law unto themselves and a money sewer within the company. After balking at new policy shift they found themselves to be no longer indispensable and asked to leave. In fact the direct quote was (in a gruff voice) "If I have to sign that paper, then my son and I are quitting!" To which my boss replied in a calm tone "Then consider your resignation accepted." The father/son team (J & A) screamed, ranted, and raved, but the decision was final. Everyone at my company now breathes easier. My wife also breathes easier. We'll see how the new guy turns out.
